Barcelona was once again the stage for the future of digital collaboration this year. We were there in person and were able to experience live how Atlassian is concretizing its vision of an AI-supported working world. From ground-breaking AI features and new platform strategies to practical tools for teams. The event had a lot to offer IT decision-makers, developers and project managers. In this blog, we summarize the most important announcements, product innovations and strategic impulses from Barcelona for you.
Presented as a vision a year ago, today it is impossible to imagine everyday team life without it: Rovo, Atlassian's own AI platform, is developing rapidly. With over 3 million active users worldwide and more than 2.4 million orchestrated workflows, one thing is clear: Rovo is here to stay.
Particularly impressive is the new Rovo Studio feature, which allows users to create their own AI agents using simple language - without any programming knowledge. Over 100 ready-made skills are already available and enable users to create emails, search through data or plan projects, for example.
Another highlight: Rovo Canvas - an interactive workspace directly in Rovo Chat. Here, teams can develop ideas together, structure content and derive tasks - without media discontinuity, directly in the ongoing dialog.
Rovo is also expanding beyond the boundaries of Atlassian: the new desktop app integrates with everyday tools such as Excel or email systems and automatically converts information into Jira tickets or project structures. The connection of external partner solutions, for example via Canva agents, marks the start of an open, AI-based ecosystem.
With the new Collections, Atlassian is pursuing an innovative approach: instead of isolated products, role-based working environments are now bundled together, seamlessly linking tools, processes and AI functionalities.
Teamwork Collection:
Jira, Confluence, Loom and Rovo in one suite. New: Automated meeting notes, audio briefings for Confluence content and "Jira Spaces" as a new form of collaborative project areas.
Software Collection:
A must-have for development teams. The combination of Bitbucket, Pipelines, Compass, Rovo Dev and the new DX platform offers end-to-end support for the entire SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle). Rovo Dev helps with writing, testing and reviewing code and ensures faster release cycles.
Service Collection:
This is where Jira Service Management, the new Customer Service Management app, assets and AI agents are brought together to create a standardized, intelligent service platform. Simple requests are processed automatically, complex cases are efficiently forwarded to the right places - including a complete chat history.
Strategy Collection:
Focus on strategic work: With real-time insights into budget allocation, investments and target tracking, Rovo helps decision-makers make informed and flexible strategy adjustments.
Atlassian also delivers strong enhancements at platform level. The Atlassian Cloud Platform now supports up to 100,000 Jira users and 250,000 Confluence users per instance - with a growing global data residency (11 regions worldwide).
For companies with the highest compliance requirements, Atlassian is announcing the Isolated Cloud for 2026 - including separate data storage and dedicated infrastructure.
With the new concept of units, organizations can also be structured into clearly defined logical areas. Each unit has its own access rights, data rooms and AI contexts - a big step for enterprise structures with multiple business units.
The improved admin experience with a uniform UI, intelligent sidebar and consistent navigation makes the management of complex Atlassian environments much clearer.
Behind the intelligent Atlassian ecosystem is the Teamwork Graph - a neural network that processes over 100 billion objects and 1.5 billion new links every week. This makes an organization's knowledge structured, findable and contextually usable.
A new feature is the integration of assets as a global platform app. Companies can now link physical and digital objects - from devices and contracts to employees - with processes and documentation. The result: a digital memory that brings together knowledge, resources and teams in a meaningful way.
The Atlassian Team '25 Europe event impressively demonstrated how profoundly collaboration, software development and service are changing through artificial intelligence - and how consistently Atlassian is driving this transformation forward. Rovo is not just an AI feature, but a central component of the "System of Work" that makes companies future-proof.
