Custom Apps with Atlassian Forge

Automotive development is a highly complex process that requires precise planning and coordination. In this context, one of our most important customers, a renowned premium car manufacturer from Germany, was confronted with an increasing problem: Overbooking and inefficient use of test vehicles. To counteract these challenges, the company turned to DEMICON.


The project's objective was clearly defined: the development of a customised Jira Service Management App with the help of Atlassian Forge. The goal was to optimise internal resource booking and increase efficiency in scheduling for different vehicle models and lines. However, the team already encountered a challenge in the initial phase: the limited display functions of Atlassian Forge made it difficult to customise the user interface and display the application in relevant scenarios in a targeted manner.


Nevertheless, the team successfully implemented the project using proven tools such as Visual Studio Code, Gitlab and Bitbucket. The final solution seamlessly integrated Jira Service Management, Jira, Assets and Atlassian Forge into the client's infrastructure.
